Nitish Kumar Reddy, the Indian all-rounder, is the captain of Bhimavaram Bulls in the GMR Andhra Pradesh League (APL) 2025, but he is yet to play a match for the franchise in the tournament due to a knee injury sustained during a Test match on India’s tour to England last month. While the 22-year-old is working hard behind the scenes to get himself to participate in some stage of the GMR APL 2025, he also gave an interview to the official website of the tournament, talking at length about his experience while playing for Team India and his expectation from the league.
Nitish Kumar Reddy on the one quality he picked from each captains - Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Shubman Gill, and Pat Cummins:
“I can’t say one quality because everyone has a unique style of captaincy. Yeah, you can name like.. some captains are aggressive, some captains are cool, like in their ways they are best. So you need to find your way, what you can do, like you are a cool captain, you are an aggressive captain or whatever it is. For the best of the team you have to learn what they can possess.”
“So I am happy that I am learning bit-bit points from every captain and I am getting the opportunity to, you know.. play under good captains like.. as you mentioned the names. So I am so happy for that.”
